Cannabis sativa seed oil has natural antibacterial properties, and when applied directly to the skin, it has therapeutic, anti-inflammatory, regenerating and antipruritic effects in many skin diseases: AD, psoriasis, acne, eczema, ulcers, bedsores and other inflammatory dermatoses. It contains essential fatty acids (EFAs), which are responsible for many very important processes in the body — building cell membranes, removing toxins from cells, providing nutrients, strengthening the immune system, preventing infections, reducing inflammation, pain and swelling of muscles and joints.

The main components of the oil are linoleic acid from the group of omega 6 fatty acids (50 — 70%) and linolenic acid from the omega 3 group (15 – 25%) in a very favorable ratio of 3: 1

Cold-pressed hemp seed oil has excellent nutritional, immunostimulating, antiallergic, regenerative, anti-aging as well as emollient properties. Chlorophyll, which causes the green coloration of the oil, has an anti-inflammatory and soothing effect. It reduces the production of inflammatory mediators and accelerates granulation and regeneration of mucous membranes and skin.

The hemp used to produce seed oil contains less than 0.2% delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (the main intoxicating substance in hemp), which is why the oil used in Cannaderm cosmetics does not have psychoactive properties. Due to the very low doses of THC in personal care products and the fact that the transfer of lipophilic THC through the skin to the blood is slow and ineffective, no health risk or toxicity was found after the use of cosmetics containing hemp seed oil.
