Roundup what is it? and why we write about it

Roundup – it is the trade name of the most popular herbicide containing glyphosate as an active substance. It fights almost all plants, which is why it can be used before setting up plantations of various plants. It is used primarily to combat bothersome weeds.

This herbicide was supposed to be something harmless to humans and animals – but an ideal killer of only weeds. However, it turned out differently. Some time ago, an interesting article published in the journal Entropy appeared, which clearly indicates that the herbicide Roundup from Monsanto, and more precisely its active ingredient glyphosate, causes the effects of almost catastrophic size.

This herbicide is sprayed on crops and gets into food – currently, as a result of research, it is very often associated with the occurrence of autism, gastrointestinal problems, such as inflammatory bowel diseases, chronic diarrhea, colitis, Crohn's disease, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, depression, cancer, wasting of the body, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, MS, ALS and many others.

Glyphosate use increased by 1500% between 1995 and 2005, and 100 million pounds of glyphosate are used each year on more than a billion acres of agricultural land.

Glyphosate has even been found in breast milk and in human urine samples across Europe.

The main toxic effects of glyphosate:

1. Destruction of bacterial flora beneficial to the intestines, which allows the development of pathogens
2. Disrupts the function of cytochrome P450 (CYP enzymes)
3. Absorbs minerals important for health (iron, cobalt, manganese, etc.)
4. It disrupts the synthesis of aromatic amino acids and methionine, and therefore leads to a critical deficiency of neurotransmitters and folic acid
5. Disrupts the synthesis and transport process of sulfates

Studies have also shown irrefutable evidence that such a popular herbicide contributes to birth defects in children and the use of these toxic chemicals is increasingly linked to cancer incidence.

To a large extent, Monsanto Engineered has genetically modified (GM) many varieties of alfalfa, corn, canola, cotton, soybeans and sugar beets to be resistant to all diseases and foreign chemicals. This has largely led to an increase in Roundup spraying in agricultural areas around the world.

These findings have serious implications for people living near farmland or other areas where Roundup spraying is applied.

People using hemp products, including CBD oils, should choose the purest products, i.e. those that are free of heavy metals, fungi and herbicides, including Roundup.
