Recently, there has been a lot of buzz in the US about vaping. In particular, there is one topic that many people have talked about in the last few weeks and even months, and that is the number of diseases that seem to be related to vaporization and e-cigarettes. We wanted to share with you what is really going on.
The researchers identified one ingredient in particular that has been found in some unregulated hemp products and eliquids – vitamin E acetate.
September 5, 2019 The U.S. FDA announced that it had analyzed 18 vaping products, 10 of which contained vitamin E acetate, which was directly related to the outbreak of lung disease in the United States.
Vitamin E acetate, also known as tocopheryl acetate, is a thickening additive usually found in dermatological products such as lotions and skin creams that are said to have beneficial antioxidant effects. It can also be found in some diet-related dietary supplements, which means that consuming it is not considered harmful.
However, some scientists have argued that due to its molecular structure, vitamin E acetate can be considered dangerous when inhaled, which causes doubts among the vaporization community. Although it's a common ingredient found in some e-liquids in the United States, researchers still say it's too early to tell if it's the root cause.
Our CBD E-liquids also do not contain vitamin E acetate. Harmony uses a blend of CBD, PG, VG and flavors, none of which contain this vitamin. The company also publishes certificates and analyses online to the public to ensure that the CBD concentration is correct. All of them can be found here:
